Let us introduce you to Jack Weibel!

Every VIA success story begins with someone who has a specific goal in mind, and connecting them with the right person at VIA makes it possible to achieve those goals.

Jack’s drive and curiosity brought him to VIA’s Work Experience Training program, where participants gain hands-on experience through internships that build confidence and career skills. Over four summers, Jack trained in a variety of roles—from reception and administrative work to photography and data entry.

Jack discovered he had a knack for keeping things organized and product stocked on shelves. For Jack, that moment was transformative. It was the first time a work experience brought him joy.

Knowing what Jack liked to do, Angela helped him prepare for interviews and build the confidence to take his next step. When he sat down for an interview at Tops Friendly Markets, Jack was hired on the spot.

Today, Jack is thriving in his new job with Tops. He loves organizing products and connecting with coworkers and store patrons. And according to Angela, he’s known for his great attitude and creating a positive work environment by telling some pretty good knock-knock jokes!

That’s what VIA does every day—from early intervention and vision rehabilitation to workforce training and adaptive technology, it empowers people to achieve their goals with confidence and purpose.
